Full Program Announced

The Hello Darkness 2010 program includes several premieres. Opening night feature, Evil Things, is a tale of a weekend gone wrong for a group of NYC students, while Ti West’s House of the Devil seamlessly transports the audience back to the early 80s and is a real treat for fans of classic suspense. Colm McCarthy’s outstanding debut feature, Outcast, is an artistic, melancholy and decidedly human tale. Exploring ancient Celtic mythology, set against the harsh backdrop of a modern British housing estate, this modest, raggedly beautiful little film punches well above its weight.  Bruno Forzani’s Amer meanwhile is an impeccably crafted gem of a film paying homage to Dario Argento and other Italian giallo film makers of the 1970s. Despite its clear reference points this remains a truly unique cinematic experience – one not to be missed.
